A Gentlemen's Motorsports Race
The Asian Supercar Challenge was established in 2003 by the
supercar Club Hong Kong to increase the levels of professionalism
and worldwide interest in the Championship.
In 2009, the series evolved to become the GT3 Asia Challenge and
was held as part of the Asian Festival Of Speed, competing at four
different circuits. Two rounds were held in Shanghai, two in
Sepang, one in Sentul, followed by its first ever trip to Japan, at
the Autopolis Circuit. The end of season invitational race was held
at Asia's oldest street circuit during the prstigious 56th Macau
The 2011 season saw another evolution of the Championship,
combining GT3 Asia with the GT4 Asia Cup to form a brand new and
even more competitive Championship - GT Asia.
For 2012, the Series is scheduled to visit the Sepang Circuit in
Malaysia, Suzuka, Autopolis and Fuji Circuits in Japan. The season
finale will once again be held as partof the historic Macau Grand
Prix in November.
